More than 30 years’ experience in the construction industry
The surveys and any remedial work will be carried out by myself, Graeme Locke. I have been in the construction industry for more than 30 years and have an extensive knowledge of traditionally constructed buildings, domestic and commercial, gained by qualification and many years of hands-on experience. This gives me an edge when It comes to providing RICS Home surveys; I understand the problem both from a technical point of view and from a practical aspect when it comes to providing advice on remedial works (applicable with level 3 Building Surveys).
Construction industry qualifications and accreditations
I started my carrier as a joiner and ran my own small construction business for 18 years. Later I decided that I wanted to know more about building pathology and therefore gained my degree (B.Sc.) in building surveying. Once I had achieved this, I moved on to attain my Home Inspectors Diploma via the Building Research Establishment (BRE). I then worked in the professional sector as a building surveyor and valuer were I achieved my associate membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Following on from this, I worked as a surveyor for a short period in the Remedial Treatment Industry.
I am also an accredited Commercial and Residential Energy Assessor.
I have always had a passion for construction and how buildings deteriorate and the subsequent repair methods. Therefore I decided to set up this business using both my surveying skills and practical skills thereby providing the full service (survey and treatment) should you require it.
